The Vocation/Formation process includes:

• regular meetings with the director
• discernment weekends bi-annually with the vocation and/or formation teams
• occasional common experiences for all in the program
• study of Theology, leading to a Master's degree (Formation)
• study of Dominican spirituality, the vows, community life, personal growth, ministry and the story of the Houston Dominican Congregation
• regular spiritual direction
• ministry at St. Dominic Villa, our retirement community
• final vows preparation in the "Life Commitment Program" sponsored by the Religious Formation Conference

The Houston Dominican Sisters participate in the Collaborative Dominican Novitiate in St. Louis, Missouri.
