A Message from the Studio

Sister Mary Peter spent the last third of her life in an art ministry that amazed us in its scope, inspired us in the beauty she created, and enriched the liturgical life of the Church in a profound way. I was privileged to work side by side with Sister on every project, in our study and prayer, meeting with clients and committees, visiting building sites with architects and engineers, traveling all over Texas and Italy, (and to California and Louisiana) together.

Most of Sister Mary Peter's works are installed in churches, convents, hospitals. Some 40 small pieces for which we have molds from originals are still available. When the editions are exhausted, we will destroy the molds and the Studio will fade into history.

The person of Sister Mary Peter and her creative spirit will live on in memory, and in her art work, Anyone wishing to view the pieces shown in this catalogue may visit our Motherhouse to see a few installations. Simply call for an appointment.

Sincerely,
JoAnn Niehaus, OP
