First Meeting of the Board of Trustees
of
Sacred Heart Dominican College
Held At Houston, Texas, July 12, 1947
Be it remembered that on this the 12th day of July, 1947, the First Meeting of the Board of Trustees of Sacred Heart Dominican College, a corporation created under the laws of the State of Texas, was held in the office of the Mother General in the Sacred Heart Convent, in the City of Houston, Harris County, Texas. At sadi meeting the following, being all of the Trustees of said corporation, were present in person, to wit:
Mother Mary Angela O'Kane
Sister Mary Sebastian Carroll
Sister Mary Adeline Tierney
Sister Mary Stephana Zagst
Sister Mary Sabina Jansing
On motion duly made, seconded and unanimously carried, Mother Mary Angela was elected Chairman and Sister Mary Stephana was elected Secretary of the meeting.
Thereupon, the Chairman, Mother Mary Angela, laid before the meeting a certified copy of the Charter of the corporation, filed with the Secretary of State of the State of Texas on the fifteenth day of September, 1946, and, on motion duly made, seconded and unanimously carried, the following preamble and resolution were adopted:
Whereas, on the fifteenth day of September, 1946,
a Charter of Sacred Heart Dominican College was filed
in the Office of the Secretary of State of the State
of Texas.
