Proclaiming the Gospel Through Preaching...Our mission as Dominicans is to proclaim the Gospel Word through preaching and teaching. We are called to contemplate and to hand on the fruits of that contemplation for the salvation of all. This mission is central to our community, and our ministries are continually adapted to the current needs of the Church. |
125 Years...For the past 125 years, the Dominican Sisters of Houston have been preaching and teaching the good news of Jesus Christ to others. They were characterized by a generous spirit in the midst of simple surroundings.Charism...The charism for preaching is at the heart of the mission of the Order of Preachers. All members are called to participate in the mission of the Order according to their diverse abilities, gifts, training, and call.
